Arwen (アーウェン, Āu~en) was a member of the Black Fleet, the apparent second-in-command to K. F. Craymen, and the commander of the fleet's flagship. He is a supporting antagonist in Panzer Dragoon Saga.

Biography

Arwen at Excavation Site #74.

Arwen accompanied Black Fleet commander K. F. Craymen, who led the fleet to Excavation Site #74 to obtain a drone named Azel for Craymen's personal plans. He was told by Craymen that now was the time for rebellion. Arwen was apparently complicit in the destruction of the Imperial Capital; shortly before the fleet arrived at the Excavation Site, he informed Craymen that the operation was proceeding as planned.

At the Excavation Site, after a mercenary named Edge told Craymen that he had seen Azel, Arwen knocked Edge unconscious with the butt of his gun. Craymen's henchman, Zastava, killed several mercenaries before Craymen ordered him to leave the rest unharmed. Edge sought revenge.

To misdirect Edge from reaching Craymen, Arwen commanded Craymen's flagship in the Forbidden Zone. Believing that Arwen was Craymen, Edge damaged the flagship and wounded Arwen. When demanded at gunpoint to reveal Craymen's location, Arwen told Edge that he fell for their trap, and that Craymen should already be at the Tower in Uru. While complimenting Edge for tracking down the Black Fleet, Arwen declared that his quest would come to an end, and that Azel would "finish" him.

Edge was confused about who she was, but he soon found out. Atolm, Azel’s dragon, fired a laser at the smoking flagship, sending Edge leaping for cover and ending Arwen’s life in the process.
